Mode of inheritance for resistance to FOC Race 1 and fruit quality traits in Sukali Ndizi cultivar of Banana

Information on the genetic control of resistance to Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.cubense (FOC) race (1) and fruit quality traits in Sukali Ndizi cultivar banana is key its improvement. The mode wilt was analyzed 536 hybrids 5 parental lines attributes 137 two lines, grown same environment. Fruit assessed by physical measurements composition whereas corm discoloration symptoms. All were quantitatively inherited.  Flavor attributes, pulp texture showed a predominance additive inheritance with complementary gene action total soluble solutes non-additive dominant action. acidity had incomplete dominancy model explained both single certain multiple genes. Resistance polygenic effects. Involvement few genes governing suggested ease breeding for this trait. Pedigree method could be recommended incorporating various (cv.
